What was the highlight of Lagoon Boutique Hotel

Beautiful place, calm, and cozy

Loved the little balcony and swimming pool at the roof (which was not very clean, but it didn't matter). It's cozy, cause it's not big, we almost felt we were alone in this property. Location is good, cause it's further away from noisy, busy streets. But we were able to walk to the main streets by foot, sometimes with the bike. Rooms are very basic, minimalistic. HUUUGE bed.

It was difficult to do check in, as the place is always locked and there is no reception. We had to call the hotel on phone to get in. Staff didn't really speak english.

- pool on the rooftop and in the garden! - wonderful style of interior / garden / balcony - friendly host - whole area is beautiful

- location: it‘s a little outside the center of Tulum, so you need to take a bike or taxi or 20min foodwalk - it was really loud one night, because of some guests who were partying the whole night and noone could be called to stop it… host was not avaiable?!

Lovely hotel with rooftop swimming pool. The host was very welcoming and we had a great time altogether.

Great hotel, large clean rooms and lovely view over the communal area jacuzzi.

All good, you just require means of transportation as it is a bit far away from everything. The property has a solution for this, they rent bicycles.

Beautifull BUT...

- The hotel is gorgious, - The rooftop swiming pool is beautifull, - Big and confortable bed, - Provided us with cooking matetial

- Lot's of light during the night. I would suggest turning all lights off at 11pm and add curtains on all windows (side windows too). - Location: too faraway from center. 15 mn walk is a minimum to find the center. Almost no shops and restaurants around. - Price is price, even for 30 pesos I expect to get my change back. Tips are not to round up the price, it should be a separated payment that I choose. Overall staff is nice, this change story might be just an honest oversight or a mishunderstanding...

Great find

Room was big and nice, great wifi connection. 2 nice pools and balconies for all the rooms. Very good place for a getaway from city.

If kitchen is equipped with blender and toaster- it should also have simple things in it, like knife and cutting board, sponge and dishwashing liquid.

Quiet hotel, 15-20min from town

Stayed here to take a freediving course with CenoteFreediving, which is within walkable distance. Hotel was nice, small cenote-shaped pool, big room, clean and comfortable bed.

The hotel is about 15-20 min walking distance from Tulum town, so you always need to take a taxi or bike at night to get back after eating out (as there are barking stray dogs and little light from street lamps), which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, I liked the hotel - very calm.

there is a maintenance guy called Manuel who let us in, he is so chill and nice.

the location is so hard to find. the bathroom is so bad; no hot water, flush didn’t work, bad smell! the pictures surely overestimated how nice this place is.

Amazing staff at cool trendy getaway hotel off the beaten path.

Staff was so helpful and friendly. Location has 2 amazing pools and each room has a private balcony. Great spot for a getaway. Slightly off the beaten path but it is easy to reach the city by catching a cab on the Main Street. Also has King beds.

AMAZING!

This hotel is one word: PERFECT! Wonderful environment, bright but muted colors, wood, very pleasant for your eyes. One pool is made as CENOTE. Perfect! Another pool can be found on the hotel’s rooftop. It's long and you can swim. The service of the hotel is very nice. Maria tries to do everything to make you happy. We needed to rent a hair dryer, an egg pan for breakfast. Maria also lent us frying oil and her own hair dryer. Upstairs is another kitchen to use for your cooking. You can rent bicycles for MXN 200 and you can also do a later check-out if its possible. We were so excited about this hotel that we canceled our stay at another hotel for another night and we came again to this hotel. Thank you for a perfect stay and pool experience and I hope to see you next year.<333

Amazing experience in Boutique Hotel Lagoon

We stay here for two nights and we love it so much, super cozy atmosphere , amazing rooms and wonderful service, they have to swimming pool, one simulating a cenote and another at the roof top , Erik the owner help us a lot with Tulum city, and we definitely will recommend to our friends and family.

Do not stay. It's quite remote and difficult to get to Central or the beaches or stores for basics

When I checked in they never took payment. I stayed an additional 2 nights and they encouraged cash. My final night stay there was banging from the water pipes all night long and did not could not sleep. I informed them in the morning and they turned on me and threatened Police as they would have to pay when I said I did not feel it fair to pay for the last evening. I paid cash again to make the problem go away. This is totally unacceptable and they had no process to listen to my complaint or make a concession or refund me the night stay that I was totally not ok with. There was banging in the pipes previous evenings but was intermittent. I would NOT recommend this place and would like to know Booking.com responses to my booking process and issues.

The place is super clean given this is a brand new complex.
